Hi! I’m Ollie

I am a content creator and lover of Japanese cinema, manga and anime.

Since seeing the Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away during my school years, I have had a love for the stories that Japanese media can tell. Whether it is stunning animation from the likes of Makoto Shinkai, the bizarre films of Noboru Iguchi or the moving stories from Mangaka Inio Asano.

Under the moniker Cine Bento I explore and write about the many films, series or manga I consume, reflecting on the themes the artist is portraying, creating lists around a certain creator or topic and providing my thoughts and opinions on the works from Japan.
